CALL FOR ABSTRACTS OIV-2025

 

               Dear members of the vitivinicultural scientific community,

 

We are pleased to announce that the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine, along with the 23rd General Assembly of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), will be held from June 16 to 20, 2025, in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, at the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

 

Please find enclosed the invitation letter from Mrs Ludmila Catlabuga, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova and Dr John Barker, OIV Director General.

We will have the honour of hosting the world’s leading specialists in the fields of viticulture and oenology, as well as world-class health, safety, law and economy experts involved in the vine and wine sector.

This 46th Congress will address issues linked to the future challenges of the vine and wine sector under the following theme:

 

“CHARTING THE FUTURE OF VINE AND WINE: EMBRACING RESILIENCE, ELEVATING VALUE, FOSTERING INNOVATION”

The four sessions for which papers can be submitted are structured as follows:

 

  1. Session I. Viticulture. Resilient viticultural practices for sustainable ecosystems
  2. Session II. Oenology. Adaptive and innovative technologies in sustainable oenology
  3. Session III. Economy & Law. Elevating value: favourable value chains and resilient business model
  4. Session IV. Safety & Health. Nutrition & health: sharing, caring and well-being

 

We are pleased to inform you that the submission platform for scientific communications for the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine is now open!

 

As such, the whole scientific community is invited to send in their presentations on any of the issues contemplated for the various sections of the Congress. Presentations should be submitted online, via the Congress platform https://congress.oiv.int/congres/OIV2025MDA
Please follow the instructions specified in the attached document when submitting your proposals.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 21 February 2025.
